April 2010:
NAPO Conference:
Jacquie plans to attend the 2010 Annual Conference of the National Association of Professional Organizers. This year it will be held in Columbus, OH on April 21-24. More information can be found on the NAPO national website.
Jacquie helped to organize the NAPO Baltimore Get Organized Month(SM) event with IKEA Baltimore on Saturday, February 20. Jacquie and several other organizing colleagues from the NAPO Baltimore chapter partnered with IKEA to give free workshops and answer organizing questions throughout the day. Workshops were held in the closet and office departments. Photos from the event are posted on my Facebook Fan Page.
January 2010
Speaking/Class:
Jacquie presented class on Casting Away Your Clutter in the New Year at the Howard County Holistic Center in Columbia MD on Monday, January 11 at 7PM. This class discussed the issues of why we hold onto clutter and offered suggestions and techniques to help change the mindset of class participants, so that they could begin the process of finally getting rid of clutter once and for all. It was free and open to the public.
December 2009
Appearance:
Jacquie participated in the As You Like it Hair Salon Client Appreciation Open House in Glenelg, MD on Wednesday, December 2nd. She shared holiday organizing tips and was available to answer organization related questions to visitors between the hours of 11:00 and 2:00PM. Debra McHale, Interior Designer and owner of Interior Transformations, was also be available.
Jacquie presented her "Get Organized for the Holidays" class on Thursday, October 29th at 7:00PM at the Finksburg branch of the Carroll County Public Library in Finksburg MD. Professional Development:
Jacquie attended the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Conference for Professional Organizers on October 17, 2009. This annual conference is hosted by the DC chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers. Best selling author and celebrity organizer, Julie Morgenstern gave the closing keynote. Jacquie 's partnership with Home Storage Warehouse has expanded to answering organizing questions from customers at their online store. Organizers from around the country will be in attendance from April 29 to May 2, 2009. Jacquie made an appearance and presented an organizing demonstration at Westwood's Breezeway's OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22, from 12:00PM to 4:00PM. In addition to an organizing demo, guests enjoyed faux painting, cooking, fitness and yoga demonstrations. The Open House was to educate the public on these upcoming workshops and fitness classes.
