Salvation Army Thrift Stores: Home Furniture, Office Furniture, Storage Units. Salvation Army offers a pick-up service as well as drop off locations. You can call 1-800-SA-TRUCK (1-800-728-7825) to schedule a pick up or find a location.

Vietnam Veterans of America A Household Goods Donation Program You may schedule a pickup by calling (301) 585-4000.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation. Clothing and accessories, shoes, glassware, kitchenware, small appliances, linens, tools, toys, games as well as car donations are welcome. Call (301) 277-0063 or (410) 789-7692.

Make a Wish Foundation. You may donate Airline Miles, Building Supplies, Hotel Points, Hot Tubs and Spas, Shopping Sprees, Stock and Urgent Needs.

​Success in Style accepts donations of men and women's clothing in good condition, and uses the donations to assist men and women in crisis to return to the work force.  In Maryland, Charity's Closet and Phil's Closet Success in Style's thrift store.

Recycle for Breast Cancer:   
Best Buy Recycle e-Cycle Program: Provides free and easy recycling for any brand of cell phone.

Dell Connect: Partnership between Dell and Best Buy. They accept used computer equipment.

Lions Club: Contact your local club for donation information.  

GIVE AWAY:
Freecycle.org: A nonprofit movement for anyone who wants to give stuff away to people in their own towns, to avoid filling up the landfills. Nothing is ever sold on the site. Visit www.freecycle.org 

HAZARDOUS WASTE:
Earth 911.com: e.g. batteries, paint, antifreeze, aerosols, car batteries, fertilizers, compact fluorescent lightbulbs etc. Visit www.earth911.org to find a recycling center near you.

SHOES - SNEAKERS: 
Soles 4 Souls: Soles4Souls facilitates the donations of shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide. Shoe companies, retailers, and individuals can donate footwear (both new and used). Soles4Souls is a 501(c)(3) recognized by the IRS, and donating parties are eligible for tax advantages.
